OIL PAINTINg:beginners and beyond

2025 EARLY SPRING Session

Beginner-level and emerging students will gain an understanding of composition, color, materials, and methods. This is a small class in a beautiful studio- gallery space in the Palisades neighborhood in DC. Designed for new or limited experienced painters who would like to join a community and develop painting skills in a supportive environment. A material list will be sent via email after registration. This class will run for 6 weeks, every Wednesday, from March 5th to April 9th, 2025.

Students will be invited to show their paintings at the second anniversary art show at the gallery during May 2025.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Jennifer Lynn Beaudet is an accomplished artist and oil painter based in the Washington, DC area. Her work, which features a blend of figures, portraits, and still life, is rooted in a representational style. She uses traditional techniques while embracing intuitive brushwork, texture, and layering, which infuse her pieces with depth, nuance, and a lasting intrigue beyond the surface. 

Since 2018, Jennifer has showcased her art both locally and nationally, earning numerous Best in Show and 1st Place awards in area competitions. She has also received the Denis Diderot AIR grant to attend an artist residency in France and has recently exhibited her work at the Salmagundi Club in New York. She shares her expertise by teaching painting at Beyond Art Studio Gallery.
