Beginner to intermediate level painting class in a friendly, creative place.
Beginners and Beyond – Painting Class
Wednesdays from 12 PM to 2:30 PM | September 17th – October 29th, 2025 (no class 10/01)
Beginner and intermediate-level students will explore composition, color, materials, and painting techniques in a welcoming, small-group setting. Intermediate students will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and refine their skills, while beginners will build a strong foundation in painting.
Held in a beautiful studio-gallery space in the Palisades neighborhood of DC, this class fosters both skill development and community-building in a supportive environment.
A materials list will be sent via email after registration. The full course runs for six weeks. For returning students a 4 or 5 class option is also available. Make your selections during the registration process using the link below.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Jennifer Lynn Beaudet is an accomplished artist and oil painter based in the Washington, DC area. Her work, which features a blend of figures, portraits, and still life, is rooted in a representational style. She uses traditional techniques while embracing intuitive brushwork, texture, and layering, which infuse her pieces with depth, nuance, and a lasting intrigue beyond the surface.
Since 2018, Jennifer has showcased her art both locally and nationally, earning numerous Best in Show and 1st Place awards in area competitions. She has also received the Denis Diderot AIR grant to attend an artist residency in France and has recently exhibited her work at the Salmagundi Club in New York. She shares her expertise by teaching painting at Beyond Art Studio Gallery.

Tuition: 6 classes (full course) $360
(returning students might sign up for 4 or 5 classes)
Cancellation: by September 1st: 50% refund -No refunds after September 2nd, 2025
Materials: teacher will contact registered students and provide material lists
